MEDISISS and IOS Form Partnership

July, 2010 - MEDISISS and Inventory Optimization Solutions (IOS) announce a joint partnership to deliver an integrated supply chain solution designed to add a new level of cost savings, efficiency, and automation for inventory management systems of healthcare facilities throughout the US.

This service enhancement, which integrates reprocessed devices into an ASC's supply chain, provides the following benefits:

• Enables a facility's inventory management system to account for both OEM and reprocessed devices within the primary supply channel.
• Improves system visibility into a facility's overall device usage, helping identify new cost savings opportunities.
• Automates inventory replenishment processes through bar code technology.
• Simplifies Purchase Order issuance.
• Provides more efficient matching of P.O.'s-to-invoices-to-payment receipts.
• Tracks actual savings on a real-time basis, delineating reprocessed devices from new ones and calculating savings achieved by healthcare facility, by doctor, and/or by procedure over selected time periods.
• Incorporates reprocessed device pricing within case costing models, allowing the capture of expense reductions derived from using reprocessed devices.

MEDISISS and IOS will team up to coordinate all activities and ensure a successful implementation of this integration.
